From the steps of the guesthouse, you are one block from our home, a few blocks from the Hart-Montague Trail, and 10 minutes by car to Lake Michigan.
A five-minute stroll takes you to White Lake and downtown Montague, where you'll find interesting shops, a yoga studio, a grocer and an art center. Just over the bridge in Whitehall, more shops await, along with the historic Howmet Theater that hosts live music and old movies. This largely undiscovered region offers everything from antique shopping and weekly summer music programs to miles of some of the most beautiful sugar-sand beaches in the world. Fishermen routinely catch their limit of bass, walleye, trout and salmon in the local waters, and there's a bait shop right in town.
Craft shows, festivals and a bountiful farmer's market round out the summer offerings. And if you're ready for a thrill, Michigan Adventure Amusement and Water Park is just 15 minutes away!
You'll love the blend of arts and culture, the lure of the lakes and classic Midwest small-town fun. From art exhibitions to perch fishing, pick-your-own orchards to old-time boat shows, you'll find it all close by.
The Bungalow is part of the legacy of early Montague. We are proud to be its caretaker, and guests tell us they love it, too. Let us know how we can make your visit to the White Lake Area your best vacation yet!
