Welcome to our guest quarters!

The Bungalow

The Bungalow is a cozy getaway with up-to-date convenience and lots of vintage charm. This inviting two-story apartment is one half of a cottage-style home that was built in the late 1800s and completely renovated in the last two years. It offers all the fun of being just a few blocks from downtown Montague and a few minutes from Lake Michigan, and all the amenities you need for everything from a two-night vacation to a two-month sabbatical!

Comfort is in the details

The Bungalow's kitchen is furnished with full-sized appliances, including a dishwasher so you can make everything from toast and jam to a multi-course meal. You'll also find recycled paper products and reusable green bags for trips to the grocer and the Farmers' Market. Coffee drinkers love the 10-cup packets of fair-trade Song Bird Coffee.

A four-season sunporch off the living room has a daybed and pop-up trundle and is the perfect place to curl up with a book or catch an afternoon nap.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a twin, plus a bathroom with a tub/shower. With its pretty bed linens, plush bath towels, a lovely line of environmentally sensitive bath products and lots of extras, you'll feel welcome and well cared for.

Dormer windows upstairs and the mix of new and antique furnishings give the Bungalow a classic cottage feel. Central heat and air conditioning keep you comfortable year-round, and cable TV lets you stay in touch. You'll also find a good supply of books and games for rainy days and quiet nights.

This sweet retreat offers a convenient base from which to explore the lakeshore. It's also a perfect home-away-from-home if you're delivering or picking up children from Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.

Covered storage is available for bicycles.
